About

Carolina Jones

I'm an artist, educator, and community worker.

Through my artwork, I like to reflect on the daily complexities of women and immigrants in the US. My upbringing in the Texas-Mexico border heavily influences my work, as I like to capture how identities change people’s experiences as they navigate different environments. I also like to find the magical and fantastical aspects of our often political everyday experience.

I am also a passionate arts educator. My background in trauma-informed education informs my practice in community based programs. I strive to make the arts more accessible to low income, immigrant, and disabled communities.
